Direct Personal Response Consultation Process

Following the release of the second year review (the Review) of the National Redress Scheme, a Consultation Paper was developed on Direct Personal Response (DPR).

The Consultation Paper sought to address Recommendation 4.7 of the Review, and identified solutions that were informed by stakeholder feedback on the current barriers and challenges that prevent access and uptake of DPR.

Interested parties were invited to provide feedback on the DPR Consultation Paper, so that stakeholder needs are captured in the co-design of improvements to the way the National Redress Scheme supports meaningful DPR for survivors of institutional childhood sexual abuse.

The consultation period opened on 13 October 2021 and closed on 12 November 2021.
