The Albany YES Committee, established in 1983 in Albany, Western Australia, was formed to address the employment and school-to-work transition needs of young people. This initiative was a collaborative effort between a local committee and the Education Department, culminating in the commissioning of the Lambe Report. The findings of this report led to the formal incorporation of the Albany YES Committee, with youth employment as its primary focus. aysa.org.au. As part of its initiatives, the committee opened the Youth Action Centre on Middleton Road, which operated until its closure in February 1986. aysa.org.au. The Albany YES Committee played a foundational role in the development of Albany Youth Support Association (AYSA), which continues to provide services and support to young people in the region
