Between 1939 and 1949, commercial classes were taught at St Mary's High School on same site as St Mary's Primary School. The Sisters of the Good Samaritan were invited to establish this school, which was entrusted to their religious institute by the Archdiocese of Brisbane. Sisters were actively present in this institution from 1939 to 1949.
