Here are some things to keep in mind when applying:

You can apply in your own time and at your own pace.

You don't have to find statements, reports, photographs or other evidence, but try to include as much detail as you can about what you experienced.

You can ask someone you trust to help you fill out the form, or to help write it down with you.

This might be a family member, friend, legal guardian, or someone from a Redress Support Service.

When filling out the application form, write about the institutions, the person or people who abused you, and about the abuse you experienced.

You can apply to the National Redress Scheme any time before the 30th of June 2027.

To find out more about your options or to connect with Redress Support Services call 1800 737 377 from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
