Accommodation for homeless women (up until January 1920). Up until 1967, the children in care ranged from 0-5 years of age. Thereafter, the children in care increased to 0-8 years of age. From 1963-1986, Scarba had capacity for up to about 50 beds.

Nerang Early Years Centre

Child and Family Services Gold Coast provides services to families who have young children aged 0-8 years, with a parenting one stop-shop, where they can access a range of support and services to improve their children's health, well being, and safety. Services include parenting programs, parent and child programs, playgroups, a variety of in-home support programs, volunteer programs as well as other support programs to help meet community's needs.

Program focussed on health and well being of mothers, babies and fathers. Provided a range of allied health and support services to help reduce social isolation and referred and linked to other local services. Also provided child care onsite, support for mothers, fathers and children, men's health issues for young fathers.
